My name is Carlie Dillon. I have played softball and baseball since I was 5 years old. Even though I am very competitive and always strive to do my best, I maintain great relationships with my team mates. I play basketball throughout the winter months to keep busy but my passion is softball. Throughout the winter months I take pitching classes two days per week from two of the areas best coaches. I have been doing this for 7 years. In addition to Varsity Softball at Conemaugh Township High School, I play travel ball and summer ball in the local county league. The travel teams that I play for have seasons that last the entire summer and we travel to tournaments throughout PA and MD. I have always had a talent for pitching but I also play other positions on the field. My coaches have told me I am very versatile. The only position I have never played is catcher. So as you can see, I love the game and I am dedicated to playing it well. In addition to athletics, I have been and continue to be a member of Student Counsel, I have participate in chorus, and have played the flute in stage/concert band. I am active in my church and assist with community programs. I have taken classes and have been qualified in child care. My career interest lies in the medical field. At this point I am giving strong consideration to Pediatrics. My GPA is 4.00. Again, as you can see, although my life is active and even very hectic at times, I am able to maintain focus on all aspects of my activities and yet achieve the grades necessary to realize my goals. I would like to attend a college that will provide the opportunity for me to continue playing the game I enjoy and yet allow a balance so I may succeed academically. In turn, I will provide the dedication necessary to make the team and school successful to the best of my abilities. Thank you for your consideration.
