When I was first introduced to softball by my father, it was an excuse to get outside more, but as it got more competitive over the years it was an outlet to let go of stress and just enjoy the competition. What I learned through my years of playing is how to be a leader and be someone for others to look up to through working hard, bouncing back when this start to go bad, and help other players better themselves when they seem to be struggling all while putting in the effort to better myself. Even though I have come a long way from where I started, one thing that I struggled with and still do struggle with is my confidence in myself which affected how I played softball.
As a person you just met I am said to be introverted or shy, but as soon as I get comfortable I like to say that I am a very caring person who’s fun to be around. One thing you may not know about me is that I do like to draw and have even started to try a new style of art. I am currently in my junior year of high school and some of the goals I have for this year are to take my SATs, achieve mostly As and Bs this year, which will bring in my third goal to bring up my GPA. The GPA I’m aiming for is a 3.2. Then my goal for the future is to get into a nursing position, more specifically a pediatric nurse or a nurse anesthetist.
