Farrell Everett '19 Recruiting Profile

My Name is Farrell Everett, I am 17 years old and I am in 12th Grade at Haverford High School. I have been playing softball for just about 13 years and it has always been my biggest dream to continue playing in college. I began playing softball at the age of 4 because I have always looked up to my older brother, who was playing baseball at the time. 

In college I want to major in Sports Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship, not only will playing softball in college be a dream come true, but playing college ball would be an amazing academic experience to help further my path in Sports Management. I have a 4.21 Weighted GPA and have maintained Honors all through out high school and I take all honors and AP classes. I scored a 1270 on my SAT and a 25 on my ACT. 

Softball has been my life since I was little. I have been playing on at least three teams in the spring season, one team in the summer season, and two teams in the fall season. I began catching when it was first introduced into the game during machine pitch and I have been catching for 11 years, and I have been playing first for 5 years. I love catching because I can see the entire field at once and I love that you are involved with every play of the game, also because the catcher is the captain of the field--I feel that that game of softball is in my blood--part of my DNA--I am a student of the game and love to learn new techniques and skills.  I am 6 feet tall and I am considered a power hitter.  I would love nothing better than to continue my playing career at the college level--thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
