WHO'S Mackenzie Maki (Mack)?
I'm a freshman at Lampeter Strasburg High School in Lancaster, PA. Our softball program is elite! Last year we won PIAA 5 State Championship! I made varsity as a freshman this spring (OF & 2B). Our JV team did not have a consistent pitcher and being that I can pitch and being a freshman, my coaches and I decided I would best contribute to the entire squad by becoming a being a swing player. Depending on the game and who we were playing I would pitch JV or be a DP for varsity (usually batting). Both JV & varsity play at the same time and often I would play varsity then finish up pitching JV. I pride myself in being a utility player, but more importantly a team player!
GOALS AS A COLLEGIATE PLAYER:
- Have a positive contribution to the entire softball program!
- Continue to strengthen my offense and defensive skills!
- Set personal goals each year and CHASE them!
IMPORTANT TO ME AS A PLAYER:
- Being a team player and being there for teammates on and off the field!
- Having a positive attitude and keeping moral up on the team!
IMPORTANT TO ME OFF THE FIELD:
- I work very hard to have balance between my academics and softball. I'm currently in the top 5% of my class with a 4.0 GPA
