Katelyn Raymond '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was in 3rd grade and began taking pitching lessons when I was 11 from a private pitching coach. My first year of Junior High was COVID year, and the season was cancelled. During my 8th grade year, I was the starting pitcher for the team. As I entered the softball season as a high school freshman and all seasons since, I was the starting varsity pitcher for my team. With my pitching coach, I am constantly working to improve my strength, endurance, and preciseness of my pitches as well as perfecting to throw a curve, a rise and an elevated fast ball. My PR on Bench Press is 115 lbs and my Back Squat PR is 180 lbs. My collegiate goal is to study aerospace engineering and to eventually work in the field with NASA or even SpaceX. Being afforded the opportunity to play the sport I love best would be an added bonus to my college years.
