Softball has been a huge part of my life since I was four years old. I began playing softball at a young age because I was such an active child, but the older I got, the stronger my love for the game grew. Softball has taught me a profuse amount of life skills that I will forever carry with me throughout my life. Softball has taught me dedication, hard work, how to be a team player, confidence, and so much more. Softball is where I look to when I need to escape because no matter what is going on, I know I can always count on softball to brighten my mood. I currently play varsity softball and varsity basketball for my high school and have been doing so since my freshman year. My primary position in softball is shortstop but I can play wherever I am needed excluding pitcher/catcher.
I strongly believe in the importance of my education. Academically, I am in all Honors level or AP classes. I am a straight-A student and always strive to do well in school. While looking for a school that fits me athletically, I want to find a school that matches my academic needs. I am looking to pursue a career in Physical Therapy and I like to be challenged in the classroom just like I am on the field. I am a very involved student as I am currently president of Student Council, a member of my school’s spirit club, a member of NHS, an involved student for our Mini-THON club, a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and have an internship with a Leadership Development class at my school. I try to be as involved in my community as I can be; the community service work that I am most passionate about is my involvement in a local animal rescue.
My goal is to find a school that will fit me well academically, athletically, socially, and financially. I will always do my best in both the classroom and on the field. I am a very self-driven, competitive, well-rounded, and team-oriented student athlete that would be a great candidate for any school.
