I started playing softball when I was 5 and have loved the game ever since. I was as a catcher at first, but one day I was on a team without a pitcher and my Mom asked if I wanted to learn how to pitch. I started learning to pitch when I was 9 and have been pitching ever since. I have been playing tournament or club/travel softball since I was 13. Even though I am a pitcher I also wanted to play other positions so I became a third baseman and a first baseman when I wasn't pitching. I just love being on the field and helping my team whenever I can. All my coaches including my parents say "the more well rounded you are the better chance you have at making any team" so that's what I did. I think I'm a decent hitter and I think I am a good pitcher but I am always looking for ways to get better. My goal has always been to play on a college softball team - as I can't imagine not playing softball at a competitive level. I am planning to pursue a career as a pharmacist - so I am looking for a good school that offers a pre-pharmacy program or a Chemistry/Biochemistry major to prepare me for graduate school. I hope to one day be able to teach young players the correct and fun way to play the game of softball, so one day they might love the sport as much as I do.
