Although I have grown up around many sports, softball has always been in my life since as long as I can remember. The sport has always provided a space where I can show who I am and what I am capable of. Despite always playing with girls older than me, my hustle, athleticism, versatility, speed, arm strength, dedication, kindness, high IQ, and success have proven to me that I am ready to participate at the collegiate level.
Always smiling, I am continually contributing to my peers' energy and overall success through my leadership. No matter how old ,or young, I am always listening and understanding the needs of the ones around me, and then supporting them. I have played softball, basketball, and even ventured out to squash in my high school years. Being very coachable and hard-working, I have earned the top spot in many things I participate in. I was also known as the "lethal weapon" according to my high school softball coach because of my ability to adapt and dominate in every aspect of the sport.
From my varying experiences at multiple schools in 3 states, I have found a way to make my mark on every school I have gone to. I have been a straight A student throughout my entire life and will always keep myself up to that standard. I value my academics due to its contribution to my pride and my hope for a bright future, which includes my longing to help others. In the arts, I have become the lead trumpet player heading into my junior year because of my leadership and dependability in all the bands I participate in. In all my leadership roles I have never forgotten what I truly believe in, which is not just listening, but hearing others equally.
I am living each day, and game, to the fullest and my perseverance to become the best player and person I can be is what drives me. I want to take my athleticism to the highest level, while still having the ability to learn. To be dependable in any role and use my calm demeanor to support my teammates is how I will contribute to the team I dream to be on. Even if it is using my exceptional speed running the bases or pinch hitting, I will be as great a teammate as a 4-year starter. Although softball is my life, academics will come first when selecting a school. However, I want softball as a part of my college experience. To play at the collegiate level would fulfill my love and passion for softball and develop me to levels I can only imagine. Every game I watch at the collegiate level gives me chills as I dream about the day I can run on the field and represent the people and energy around me.
