My name is Abbylynn Colleran. I am currently a senior, 2024 graduate at Pittston Area High School in the state of Pennsylvania. I challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes, and I have maintained a GPA of 3.9 earning accolades of honors, high honors, and honors with distinction during my academic career. I have been playing baseball or softball since I was 4 years old along with several other sports. I currently play first base, leftfield, rightfield, or designated hitter. I haven't always been the tallest, fastest, and best athlete on the field, but strive and work hard each and every single day to be the best I can be for myself and my teammates. I work endless hours before and after practice taking grounders, fly balls and extra swings to become better each and everyday. My true love for the game came in 2019 when I made my current travel team. This allowed me to push myself beyond my limits at an extremely high level to compete with some of the best players on a daily basis against teams from across the tri-state area. These teammates and coaches have truly became my family. The bond we have established is untouchable, and we play for each other every time we step onto the field. Every time step onto the field I give it everything I have and more ,and I play the game with confidence knowing that all the work I put in will lead to a good outcome. My goal every time is to be a motivator, leader and push not only myself but everyone else to become the best they can and encourage others. From making sure everyone is cheering as loud as they can in the dugout, and telling them all simple words of encouragement, or getting to the field earlier to set up to start warm ups before. The thing I live by the most on the softball field is you only get out of it what you put into it, So for me there is no such thing as an off day. The sport of softball has taught me and will continue to teach me many life lessons. I have learned many qualities along my journey that help me not only on the field but off of it. Softball has taught me time management, leadership, hard work, dedication, humbleness, and confidence. These life lessons allow me to be a better athlete, student, and person every single day. I would hope to continue to play softball in collage where I can study accounting and fulfill my childhood dreams.
*Lead travel team in RBI in 2022 & 2023
