November 2017Personal Statement
Hello, My name is Jordan Sylvia. I am a freshman at Owen J Roberts High School in Pottstown, PA. I am interested in attending a competitive university that offers the major I am interested in and also affords me the opportunity to play softball. I have always been extremely driven in sports. From a young age I played competitive soccer, softball and basketball, and also am talented in tennis, golf, and rugby. Softball has always been my main focus.
My main strength is hitting. I started as a freshman at short stop for my high school varsity team. I led the team with my batting average and batted 4th in the line up. I had 32 RBIs for the regular season, and was named 2nd team all conference for a very highly competitive division. I have also been the #4 batter for my elite travel team for 4 years. I can play every position except for pitcher. I feel I am a natural team leader. My coach allows me to call time outs to help get the team back on focus during challenging game situations.
I am a leader on an off the field. From my academics, social activities, and my athletics, I always take pride in everything I do and strive to always do my very best. Thank you very much for viewing my profile, I hope to hear from you soon.
