My main objective is to receive a good education in Biology and be able to play a sport that I love while doing it. I have played softball for ten years and have worked hard to earn my place on teams. I take pride in myself and will earn my playing time. Softball has always been my first choice of sport from a young age, and I want to continue to work hard and improve at the collegiate level. I am a captain of my High School Cross Country and Indoor Track team. This has taught me how to be a leader and to work with the new team members to make the transition easier for them. I am also active in the community by volunteering at the local food bank, helping with the local challenger League, umpiring for the local little league, volunteer at the run/walk for someone special, and I work with the younger girls teaching them the position of catching. Lastly, I have been a member of the Key Club the past 3 years and am currently the Vice President.
