Madison Walsh '21 Recruiting Profile

I can close my eyes and smell the fresh cut grass, the dirt on the field, the roar of the crowd, and the cheers from my softball teammates. This is what makes me love the game.  Since I was six years old, I spent numerous hours playing the game I love.  I can remember my first hit, catch, striking out my first player, and the rush of hitting a ball over the fence.  Softball gives me the opportunity to be part of a team, a community of players striving for the same goal.  The game has taught me to achieve goals I set out for myself, as well as goals my teammates and I set out together.  This game has shown me that when you work together as a team, dreams can be achieved.

In addition to playing softball, I look forward to achieving a college degree and continue my education in graduate school.  I have an amazing support system both on and off the field.  I have set my goals high in life and I am ready for the next chapter in my life to achieve these goals.
