Logan Hamilton '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Logan Hamilton and I am in the Class of 2024 at Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield, Pa. 

Currently, I am playing softball with the Smash It Sports Vipers Showcase team from Rochester, NY and my primary position is catcher.  I also play 1st base and can contribute to the team wherever I am needed.  Prior to this, I have played competitive travel softball starting at the 10u level and was the was the starting catcher for the NY Lady Rebels 12u, 14u and 16u teams. I started playing on my local town team at the 8u level when I was 6 years old. That is where I found that I loved the game and wanted more out of it. 

I have a true passion for the game and strive to get better not only as an individual, but also as a team player. My love for the game and natural competitiveness drive me to be the best I can be. I enjoy time with my teammates and consider them extended family on and off the field. I believe that a team is not made up of one player, but takes all the players working together for the team to be successful.

In addition to Softball I have also been a team member in multiple school sports such as Basketball, Tennis, and Volleyball. I enjoy skiing in the winter and I also participate in Student Council, FFA, Yearbook, and History club.  When I am not competing, I work the concession stand at many of the home sporting events as well as work part time at Penn York Camp.

My work ethic does not stop on the field and my academics are extremely important to me. I am highly motivated to attain my next goals of playing collegiate softball and earning a degree in Medical Imaging. I currently hold a 97.5 GPA and I am enrolled in honors classes and I am a member of the Jr. National Honor Society.
