My name is Lindsey Gawrys, I will be entering my senior year of high school at Whitehall/Coplay School District(2021 graduate). I play first base for my high school team . I was named a second team all star last year for the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference. Although our season was cancelled this year we had a great run my sophomore year, making an appearance at state playoffs. I also play tournament softball for the Leigh Valley Patriot Flames 18U Elite. Tournament softball can sometimes involve moving around to different teams to find the right fit for a player. However, I have been with the same coach and the same core 6 girls since 10U. We won a National Championship last summer at Spacecoast in Florida. I have been playing softball since I was eight years old and my love for the game only grows stronger. I hope to continue to play and grow even more in college.
Academically, I have a 3.7 grade point average and am in the top 100 of my class. I have taken several honors class and recently just completed two AP classes. I was also just inducted into the National Honor Society in June of 2020. I am a peer mentor to a incoming freshman. This program helps students navigate all aspects of high school- academic, peer, and social issues. Lastly, I also work part time at my local Rita's Italian Ice.
