From a young age I have dreamed nothing more than becoming a lawyer for the armed forces. Over the years I have only become all that more sure of it. My college goals and aspirations lay within the lines of graduating with a high GPA in my field of study and successfully passing the lawyer bar exam, along with joining the armed forces. Not only do I desire to graduate college with a good GPA, but also with the minimal amount of student debt. Therefor my initiation to a softball team would be crucial. Not only do I enjoy the sport as a whole but also believe it will take me to where I need to be. I know that if I were to be in the collegiate level I would bring a lot to the team. As a long term player, I believe myself to have numerous strengths:
Unlike other recruits, I am constantly moving from one place to another; it's all part of being a military child. I come from the island of Puerto Rico where the sport of softball is not ranked number one in popularity. Yet I have maintained my interest at an all time high. Not only have I dedicated my time to training and playing, but to teaching others who share my interest and are eager to learn. I have taken the task to give pitching clinics to other girls, some of which are the future of my school team after my graduation.
Not only have I been a dedicated softball player for the past 8 years, but have also participated in other sports such as soccer and cross country. It is my belief that by participating in these sports I have taken softball with a more serious mentality; even as it remains fun. Other things I have participated in within my community are:
...and much more. Although it does not end there. I have taken it upon myself to make my High School education a challenge. Over the course of the past four years I have taken four Honors classes and five Advanced Placement classed. And have managed to maintain a 3.5 GPA or Higher. Therefor it is my strong belief that I would be an asset to any team who expresses interest in me, for I am open minded and eager to learn new skills and start my next chapter in life.
