I started playing softball when I was 11, so I was behind all the other girls. I had to commit to softball 105% every day to catch up. I played all of 12u and a year of 14u in reck ball. Then as a family, we decided that I should play travel ball because I have progressed so much in so little time. At this time I decided that I wanted to play softball in college. Then I had to recommit to softball and pull all my time and energy because I knew that I had to give everything to get to the scholarship I wanted. I have gone to hitting lessons from 2 different coaches and they have both been huge role models. They have shown me how to push through hardship to get to the final goal. All the coaches I’ve had have impacted me substantially in their special way. I have tremendously grown as a person because I have had to step up and be a leader to help younger girls by being the role model that was needed.
In my sophomore year, I decided that I wanted to be an Engineer. I want to change the world, I want to design the next important building or even a minor building that is constantly used.
I’ve been told that I have huge dreams and I have also been told that I won’t achieve these dreams but I have never let these people bring me down. So I work as hard as I can on the field and in the classroom to prove to myself and to everyone else that I will achieve everything I have ever want.
