Age 6....That's how old I was when I knew I loved softball more than most things I was doing (as much as a 6 year old does). The feeling competition brings is indescribable. But more importantly, I thrive in an environment where I am a part of something much bigger than me. The opportunity to work together as a unit with people I consider family whom all share a common goal is the best feeling I can imagine. If I can contribute to that goal, no matter how big nor how small, I have a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.
Having the opportunity throughout the years to compete with people that are better than me has been a dream come true. I love being challenged to grow, gain strength, and mature as a player. I will never stop learning and growing, and I'm grateful for that! What makes me different? I am extremely strong, can hit most any type of pitching, can play anywhere on the field (I haven't caught before, but hey, let's try it!), and I am probably the most coach-able player I know. I maintain a team-first mentality in everything I do, and I never take for granted the talents God has given me. My goal is that the next 3 years of high school will NOT be the end of my softball career. I want to continue playing, get a great education, and be open to any opportunity that softball awards me. Cause no matter how much I put into it, it continues to give me back way more!
