Personal Statement

I was born and raised in a small town, McEwen, TN.  I have been playing softball since the age of 9.  I started out as a 2B, then took interest in pitching and started lessons with a pitching coach.  My first travel coach trained me for center field and I grew to love running, tracking and keeping batters from advancing.  I have won awards for Best Defensive Player, Hustle, MVP and All Conference.  I was a starter on my Junior High team 3 yrs.  I was a starter on Varsity my Freshman year at McEwen High School and being a 1A school, it didn't have the level of competition I had grown accustom to playing in travel ball.  I decided to transfer to Waverly Central High in Waverly, TN.  This forced me to have to sit out my Sophomore year.  However, I did still play JV games and continue practicing.   The different teams I've had the privilege to play on has taught me how to adjust, get along and respect all types of personalities to become a part of that team.  All my coaches have inspired me, helped build playing skills and are the reason why I love to play the game.  I have dreamed of playing college softball since I was a little girl and will give any team I play on more than 100% of my effort to be a part of a winning team!  My future plans are to become a teacher not only of academics, but of athleticism, to inspire and instruct self discipline, passion and drive that no matter if your from a small town or a big town, a poor family or rich family, only you can direct your path to achieve your goals.  Giving back to others what you have received and to be able to teach and/or coach a group to reach for that dream is an award itself!

  • 2014 CLARKSVILLE LADY TITANS (18u A)
  • After playing with the Clarksville Lady Titans a couple weekends in Chattanooga last fall I'm so excited to begin my first full summer as a Lady Titan tomorrow at Drakes Creek, Hendersonville TN!
  • 2013 Clarksville Lady Titans (18U A)
  • I was a pick up for this team to play in Chattanooga, TN for the weekend of Oct 26-27, 2013 at the Summit of Softball. Coach Todd, said I was a big asset to the team, he enjoyed my hustle & drive and invited me back to play the following weekend of Oct. 31 & Nov. 1-2, 2013 in Chattanooga. He said I was a keeper, gives 110%, has drive & hustle and can cover more ground in outfield than he had seen! In his words "I'm a baller!" He said I fit right in, and while he has some out recovering from injuries, is looking forward to next summer when we all are together as a team! So its safe to say I'm officially a Clarksville Lady Titan!
  • 2012 DC Cubs (16U B+)
  • I was chosen to be a part the DC Cubs from Dickson, TN and we took home many 1st place trophies, went to the World Series in Panama facing some where in the area of 90 teams and went home in 9th place. I would have loved playing more with them if they had stayed together.
  • 2011 Barracudas (14 U on down B+)
  • This was my first travel experience! Started with them at 10, when the team first came together. We were trophy winners from our first tournament and on! I learned what it meant to be called a "scrappy" bunch! We never gave up and kept on fighting!

  • Played with Clarksville Lady Titans, Jersey #14, still as pick player a long with a few 8th grade pick ups due to having some members recovering from prior injuries! 11/01 game 1102 @ 9:00pm vs Jack City-Blankenship @ Camp Jordan (2-2); 11/02 game 1105 @ 3:30pm vs Force Elite 18U @ Jack Mattox (1-9) Force Elite took a 9-0 lead in 1st inning, I stole 2nd on catcher miss, stole 3rd at pitch release beating tag & came home after caught out field fly, the score remained 9-1; game 1107 @ 5pm vs Kraze-Beck, had plenty of chances to show my outfield skills keeping batters from advancing to 1st, we took the lead 1-0, It was after this game the Coach said he wasn't letting me get away and officially a team player for the Lady Titans; game 1109 8:00pm vs Team Phoenix-Herren @ Jack Mattox (8-0); 11/3 game 1115 @ 11:00am vs Stunners-Elite who took the lead @ Jack Frost Stadium (4-0) Needless to say the Coach can't wait till next summer to have his players back in full recovery and to have me as part of the team!
