Emily Giardine '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Emily and I am extremely excited about playing softball for your program.  I started playing softball at about age 11, I got a late start because I come from a military family and as we bounced around there wasn't a lot of softball programs where we were so I grew up being one of the only girls playing baseball. I absolutely love softball, I am from a small 3A school where we are encouraged to play multiple sports but I dont really feel alive until I get on that field. 

I feel like I would be a great canadate for your school because I am a utility player, I've played 2nd, short and third, and I've also caught, although I haven't caught the majority of my high school time.  I feel I am a team player because even though I love 2nd and short, my coaches know they can count on me to give 100% in any position they put me. 

 Being a military kid ive had to learn to be flexable and deal with whatever life throws at me. I'm willing to put in the work in order to better myself and be a better player for my team. I'm a four year varsity starter for my school and although covid cut some of my seasons short, I feel I continue to learn and grow as a player. 

I think my biggest flaw is I hold myself to a higher standard and when I make a mistake I feel like I've let everyone down.  Im learning to work through that.  I currently hold a 3.75 GPA in academics and my goals are to work hard on the field and in the classroom.
