Lianna Vela '18 Recruiting Profile

I enjoy to be challenged.  In 2014-2015 our 3A San Diego High School team, #10 in state, made it to the Semifinal round in the playoffs and was defeated by Florence, #3 ranked.  Then again, in 2015-2016 our team in the fourth round fell short against Hallettsville, #1 ranked team.  I can still remember the feeling of hurt from each defeat but still wanting to reach for that title.  From then on out, I continued to work extra hard to help myself and my team reach our goals. I feel in my heart I am an outstanding candidate for any team because of my passion, academics and athleticism qualities. I have been in advanced classes all through my junior high and high school years and I expect to continue to challenge myself and reach my goal on the field and in life for my doctorate degree  in Physical Therapy. On the softball field,  my strength is my speed.  I play smart and I'm confident enough to say I have the abilities to execute offensively and defensively.

I am proud to admit, as of 2016-2017 school year, we are now ranked #6 for 3A in the state of Texas.
