Hi,
I’m Janette Maendl. I am sixteen years old and I attend Providence Hall High School. Providence Hall is an International Baccalaureate (IB) accredited charter school. I am currently on track to go into the full IB Diploma program. The full Diploma program is an academically rigorous course. Currently I am in the Middle Years Program for IB. To graduate the Middle Years Program, which is 6th through 10th grade one must complete an MYP project. For my MYP project I plan on turning my salsa making hobby into a business. I stared making salsa about 5 years ago with my dad as a hobby. I hope that by turning it into a business I can use it as a way to help support me in my sports related endeavors.
Speaking of sports, I am currently on my schools Basketball team, and I was also on the Soccer team. I enjoy playing both Basketball and Soccer, but Softball is my true passion I love to play it and I enjoy watching softball as well. I have played competitive softball for two and a half years on various teams, but I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately at this current moment my school does not have a Softball team, but the creation of a team is in the works. Hopefully by summer Providence Hall will have a Softball team. I have played many positions, and I like them all. I am a utility player as well as a catcher.
Some of my other hobbies besides sports include, jewelry making, playing the ukulele, and anything else artistic. Thanks for spending the time to get to know a little bit about me.
