Hello, my name is Kelly womack. I have played softball for 6 years. My primary position is pitcher. my secondary position is first base. I’ve put in a lot of work between pitching lessons, hitting lessons, team practices, and working at home constantly doing drills to help me with getting stronger, faster, and preparing myself for the next level. I have had little to no motivation to do anything regarding to softball and pitching. a couple months ago my team split while the head coach was having a three way heart bypass surgery and we had only four girls including me stayed on my team. We finally have enough girls to play. I’m saying this because feeling hurt for the past few months made my mindset change. I learned that I need to be there for my new teammates and strive to be the best that I can be. I’ve had to work harder at becoming a leader. Now every time I practice Im pushing myself harder so I can make my best contribution to the success of my team. In addition to playing travel softball and school softball I also play school volleyball. Playing on 3 diff teams I’ve really had to stay focused and be on top of my school work and my responsibilities at home and on my family dairy farm. I have been able to maintain A’s in all of my classes. I have done so well in math especially that I am taking accelerated classes. i am also a member in our middle school NJHS. For the last five years I have also been active in my 4-H livestock club. I’ve been Vice President and treasurer and I have been active showing my 4-H dairy and beef calves. I was also a past winner for keeping my project record book in 4-H.
