Madison Garrett '17 Recruiting Profile

To become a College pitcher at the highest level.  I will work hard and be a good teammate.  I have played on various travel teams with different teammates over the years.  I get along with all my teammates and enjoy the relationships I have made over the years.  I played on the Inaugural Stars and Stripes 14U Softball Team as a 12 year old in Orlando, FL.  In one of our competitions, we played an 18U Florida Travel Team with 4 Division 1 players on their roster (1 at the University of Florida) and they only beat us by a score of 5-3.  They had played all over the country and their coach told us we was one of the best teams they had played and all they mainly played 18U Showcase tournaments.  Coach Tim Walton (softball coach from University of Florida) was there.  I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in school and have been on the all "A" Honor Roll every year I have been a student.  I get my determination and fight to win from my mother, who just recently passed away from a 6 year battle with cancer.  She taught me to work hard and never give up and your dreams will become true.  I am playing to win for HER!  I want to be a Division 1 softball player with hopes of being on the USA Team and possibly Olympics when it is reinstated to the Olympic Games.
