I'm Makayla McCurdy, a 5’4” third baseman, shortstop, pitcher, and I have experience in other positions as well. I'm in my junior year at John I. Burton High School in Norton, Va.
I'm very interested in continuing my softball career at the next level and hoping you would like me to continue my career at your school. I play school ball in the spring and then when that's over I also play travel softball up until there are no more tournaments left. I've been playing this sport for 7 years. My freshman and sophomore year I started at third on my school ball team and I also got second team all district both years. My freshman year I hit my first career home run and my sophomore year I collected 4 more. Not only am I interested in your softball program, I'm also interested in your nursing program. I don't only work hard on the field, I work hard in the classroom as well. My GPA is lower than most at my age right now because I was in easier classes but now I'm in honors classes, I will also graduate with an advanced diploma. I have been in a couple prospect camps this past summer. During the school year I stay busy with multiple sports like Volleyball, Basketball, and I also cheer. After I graduate I would like to continue playing softball in college and get everything I need to become a travel nurse. Thank you for reading this and I hope I meet your interests.
