Erin Keith '20 Recruiting Profile

    I believe in softball we are one family. I play first to make God and my family proud of me, second for my softball sisters, and third for the little girl who loves the game just like I did when I was young!

     I started out as the only girl on all male teams. I learned early, that if I wanted playing time, I not only had to be a great player, but I had to be aggressive, determined, and a smart ball handler. I play softball with the same tenacity that I learned by playing with my guys. I fight for the ball when I'm in the field.  I cheer on my team. I let my actions speak for me. I push myself and others to bring their A game, so we all succeed. I put in the work, stay focused and I listen to my coaches to make myself more useful to the team.

    I believe that softball has taught me the skills I need for life and has led me to want to motivate and teach others. I want to be a physical education or an early childhood education teacher in the future. I would love it if my passion for softball could help me reach that goal.  I also volunteer in my community every chance I get.  Staying busy has never adversely effected my grades. In fact the busier I am the better my grades seem to be! I am willing to do whatever it takes to improve my skills and to learn new skills as I move forward in my career. I can learn anything and I will apply it to whatever I need to in order to be successful.
