Everyone who ever knew me or knows me has realized how much I love softball. All of my family either played or coached softball, I basically grew up with softball in my blood, but that is not all that has influenced me in my life. Music has gotten me through a lot and without it I might not be playing sports. Softball is my favorite sport out of the three that I play. My goals for high school is to graduate with a 3.2 GPA, it hasn't always been easy in school but that's where I would like to finish school. I have no idea what i would like to do in my future, but there is one thing I am sure of, and that is playing softball at the next level. Since I live in a very small community, we basically need everyone in high school to play the sports or we might not have a program that year, and since we are on an island we have to travel on the ferry to get to half of our games. I happened to be one of two eighth graders brought up to the high school team and was the only one who played on the varsity team and just about half way through that season I was starting on first base, But I think the most memorable year of softball for me was my sophomore year. That year of softball there were some issues with our team that we all had to overcome together, so we spent one entire practice talking out our problems and ever since that day we became more like a family and we started winning more games. some skills I have received from the help of my teammates and my coach are doing the splits on first base if the throw didn't quite make it there and hitting the ball over 250 ft. I know everyone says that they want to be the best so they work to become better but me, I work not to make just myself better but my entire team better and by helping my team out that's what makes me a better athlete and a better person. I do all this by either helping others with their skills, by being the loudest cheerer I can be, and doing the best I can at every moment for my team, my coach, and last but not least myself. I also love the family softball has created for me in the past and I would like for those kind of relationships to continue in my future.
