Hi, I'm Marissa Ewald. I've been playing softball since I was 10 years old. I have dreamt of playing college softball since I first started playing. I want to play softball so badly in college that I quit hockey after 10 years of playing to focus on my grades and training to improve my softball skills. It was a tough decision but I knew if I really wanted to play softball in college it would take a lot of dedication.
I dedicate my free time to practicing and training because I want to keep getting better. In college I am willing to work as hard as I can in the classroom and on the field to help my team to be successful and leave a lasting impression at the school. I like to work hard, but also have fun while working. I love being there for my teammates, anytime a teammate hangs there head, I am there to pick them back up. I make sure that my teammates get better before I get better, for example, If a catcher wants to work on pick offs, I will be the base runner so it seams real to them and I make sure they are having fun.
I want to go to a college that will push me to be the best I can be in the classroom and on the field. I want to be on a team where everyone on the team has the same goal to make each other better and become a family and have fun while it last. I want to make my family and friends proud and I hope I can be a role model to all the little kids that want the same dream of being a collegiate athlete and teach them how to be the best person they can be.
