Janey Adair '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Janey, a Junior at Laramie High School in Laramie, WY.   I am currently looking for pitching opportunities to extend my love for softball at the next level as well as continuing my education in Business and eventually getting a Law degree.

I picked up my first bat and glove when I was 5, playing T-ball in Chanhassen, MN.   I moved to softball in 2011 and when I turned 9, was selected to the travel softball for the Chanhassen Storm.  I was a utility player working on my pitching, but loved to run the bases. 

In 2015, we moved to the state of Wyoming.   We found a competitive travel team 45 minutes away from home - the Cheyenne Extreme.  I played 1 year of 14U as a pitcher and have played 18U from that point forward.   I have found my passion is on the mound going head to head with the batter.   My speed and reaction to the ball have also helped me at 2nd base and center fielder.   As a hitter, I do what I need to do to get on base.

After a lot of work advocating for High School softball, Wyoming's first High School season was played 2021!  My team, Laramie Lady Plainsmen, did not make it to state, however, I was selected to first team All-State and All-Conference.

In addition to softball, I have also started varsity basketball since I was a freshman in high school.  I ran track when it did not interfere with softball.  Lets just say I love to compete!  

Beyond athletics, I am currently taking AP and college courses.  I am a certified Water Safety Instructor and enjoy teaching kids to swim.  When I have downtime, I enjoy spending time with friends, cooking, hunting, 4-wheeling and the outdoors.
