My name is Khadijah I. Jordan. I am a senior at Shades Valley High School! Though I have always had a love for the game, my basketball career began when I was in the 5th grade. My parents signed me up and I played Rec Basketball for my community team. From there my love for the basketball blossomed! I went on to play AAU basketball for the Alabama Cardinals. Competing against other players was very exciting to me! Upon entering middle school I was fortunate to be chosen as one of three team managers for our 7th and 8th grade basketball team. That allowed me to be close to basketball and continue to learn more about the game. During the summer, while playing for the Alabama Cardinals I began operating in the positions of point guard and shooting guard. I learned that I am a natural born verbal leader on and off the court. From that point until the present I study the game of basketball to learn more and to try to be an extension of my coach on the floor.
Basketball has taught me a spirit of excellence that extends beyond the court and into my school and personal life. The work ethic I developed is to make the good things great and making the bad things better. I push myself to get better every day on and off the court. I believe that by putting God first and maintaining a disciplined work ethic I will be successful in my goal of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon.
I believe that I can contribute strong consistent leadership, with a positive and coachable attitude. I am a quick learner and a strong defender, making adjustments easily. I feel that I am consistent with an inside and outside game, but, I am always striving to get better.
