When I was in 3rd grade I asked my parents to start training with a professional basketball trainer. I knew then my dream was to play college basketball. To my excitement they agreed and have worked along beside me to help me accomplish this goal. With 4 other siblings in my home, college scholarships are a must for me to be able to attend college. It's not about going to the best or a Division I university, but being able to play at any collegiate level.
I am a great fit for your team because I know what it takes to overcome adversity. I was in foster care for 18 months, adopted at the age of 8, and have helped with my 3 younger adopted siblings. I have taken what I've been through and put everything I have into playing basketball. I support my teammates and I'm known as the team motivator and cheerleader with my communication on the court and from the bench. In addition to our team workouts and practices, I put extra work on my own. My adopted mother is a teacher and has instilled the importance of education and studying in me. When I was 9 years old, I made a list of my goals in basketball and so far I have worked hard and accomplished all of those goals.
