My name is Mary Crow and my dream in life is to play basketball. I have played on a variety of teams from my fourth grade year to this day. I was an All-Conference player as a freshman. As a sophomore, I was again selected as an All-Conference player as well as an All-State player. The AR Democrat Gazette named me one of ten "Super Sophomore players" in Arkansas. I was also selected as the Tri-Lakes "Player to Watch" this season. As a junior, I was selected for a third year as an All-Conference player and agan as a second time All-State player. I also set the all time scoring record or my school as a junior and then surpassed it by 187 points with a total of 1438 points.
Even though i was the youngest player on the varsity team as a 9th grader, I started and I led the team. Although I wasn't captain of the team, I was told that I had a huge impact on the team in firing them up. I love to have fun while playing the game. I am a very physical player and I love to do whatever it takes to win. I'm more of a driver than a shooter. I penetrate well and have good ball handling skills when in a crowd. I have done a lot of work on my outside and mid-range shots and have made significant improvements. I am about 5'8" tall and weight 145 pounds.
I would love to play in the SEC but I am leaving all options open. I have already been contacted by numerous schools from D-1 to D-3 but I want to build as many options as possible so that I can work toward a perfect fit for me and the school. I would like early playing time in college and I also want to know that i am getting a good education. In college, I want to major in Criminal Justice. I've wanted to be a police officer since the 7th grade and i haven't changed my goals. My dad was a police officer and he is what motivates and encourages me to be one also. If there was a change in my major, it would be a basketball coach or a physical trainer for athletes.
