Basketball has always been a passion of mine from kindergarten. I love the sport and don't want to leave it after high school. I have always been committed to my team giving my best effort on and off the court. Maintaining good grades has been a responsibility that I have taken seriously my entire life and have been successful at. To prepare for college I have taken college credit courses and dual enrollment. I've been determined to show my commitment to basketball by making sure I'm the first one in the gym to practice everyday, the last one to leave, and give my complete effort even after the clock stops. Any free time I have I make sure to have a basketball in my hand. With any opportunity I have I make sure to ask my coach for constructive criticism to know what I need to improve on. At home when I am not busy with school work or able to physically practice I enjoy watching basketball whether it be film or YouTube videos breaking down fundamentals of the game . I love to study basketball. The boys basketball coach gave me to opportunity to be a teacher's assistant. Being able to run the clock, watch and learn from his coaching methods, take stats of their practices, has been an amazing learning experience that has greatly improved my knowledge of the game. Our school has also taught me the importance sportsmanship holds on the court. No matter the win or loss of a game it is always important to maintain a positive attitude and good composure. I might not be the best skill set wise but I have always been strong willed, determined, and persistent with basketball. I love the game and the challenge it brings.
