Denise Mendoza '24 Recruiting Profile

What makes me different from other recruits is that I'm a defense and pass-first basketball player. In fact, just recently I was awarded the Top Defensive Player of the tournament in the Kodiaks Classic in January, 2023. I can shoot 3's, shoot mid-range, drive to the basket as well as finish strong on fast breaks. I believe in being a multi-dimensional basketball player and in every games and practice days this mentally is being practice and applied.

I believe in the importance of hard work to accompany my talent. As well, I believe in the necessity of commitment, in fact as a testament to this I never missed a single practice in school other than when I had a minor injury few months back. I have been working out at the gym to prepare my body for the rigorous physical demands of College basketball. I see to it that I have a decent if not higher grades to anticipate and meet the academic admission requirements.
