My name is Aaryn, and I attend Stockdale High class of 2018. I believe I would be an asset to any team because I am reliable, determined, and zealous. My family has been an integral part of my life. My mom has influenced my education while my dad influences my love for basketball. My siblings push me to the best of my ability while also being some of my main supporters, and directing me in the right direction to achieve my goals.
When I was five I started cheerleading and dancing. I enjoyed performing on stage, but I felt I wanted something different. I started playing basketball in the third grade and from there it was a wrap. Basketball is my obsession. I spend most of my time playing basketball, working to increase my skill set.
I have learned a little confidence goes a long way. The more passionate I become about my game the better my skills become. I play my hardest and my best from tip-off to the final buzzer no matter the situation. I believe my game IQ is far beyond my years. I have a keen ability to see where the ball is and force steals. I also have a strong sense of where my teammates are on the court allowing the ability to create assists. I believe I am a strong leader as I have been a varsity captain for 3 years. The strongest ability of my leadership characteristic is my aptitude to follow. Following most importantly, the direction of my coaching staff and the feedback of my fellow teammates.
My primary goal in high school has been to maintain a competitive GPA and finish in the top 20% of my class. As I progress in high school my GPA continues to maintain a stride of 3.8. My performance at school means a lot to me because I know it determines my future. Attending school is not really my passion but my responsibility. I spend a lot of my time on my coursework. I complete all my homework and put forth my best effort on tests to sustain my GPA because I know school will help me succeed in basketball.
My mom is a Math teacher and my original career goal was to become a teacher just like my mom. One day I decided teaching was no longer in my future, but dentistry became an interest. In college, I would like to study biology and later go to dental school to become an orthodontist. My interest was confirmed when I got braces. Frequently, I talk to my orthodontist about the profession and his career path. He invited me to shadow him and learn more about the occupation. I plan to shadow Dr. Sauget summer 2017.
If you would like to know more about me; please contact me by phone or email.
