Solangelei "KoKo" Akridge '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Koko Akridge and I am a senior (class of 2023) at Mater Dei Catholic High School located in the San Diego area. I have a strong desire to continue my athletic career after high school and I am seeking a women’s basketball program that has a growth mindset, values their players as more than just an athlete in a sport and has a commitment to maintaining a competitive yet healthy atmosphere. There is no doubt that I have the skills and the work ethic to play at the next level, but the added benefit is that most people find my ability to be a facilitator on the court most impactful. I trust that my defense forces the opponent to continuously adjust and my offense (assists and shots) have the ability to be a major  contribution to any program. 

I have a clear understanding of the importance of the other columns in the scorebook other than points. I also understand the importance of communication and desire to be connected with a coach and program that promotes dialogue and supportively pushes me to excel. 

I am looking to be an addition to a program who, like me, has something to prove.
