Personal Statement

Maddyson TullGraduating Year: 2019

I am currently a junior in high school aspiring to play basketball at the next level.  I have played high school varsity basketball my freshman, sophomore and now my junior year.  I have earned Defensive MVP and All-League both my freshman and sophomore year.  As a Junior, I earned League MVP.  I was selected as my Area All League Team both my freshman and sophomore year.  In addition to high school basketball I play AAU Basketball for JBS (Just Believe Sports) in the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit.  I am enjoying my junior year high school basketball season where I have been chosen as captain by my high school coach.  I am also looking forward to playing with my JBS team again starting in April where we will travel to Phoenix to kick off our season with Adidas.  One of my strengths is that I am a strong rebounder.  One of the reasons I believe I would make a great fit at the college level is I am strong in my inside post play offensively and my defensive rebounding.  I think my strongest asset is as a stretch 4 playing both the 3 and 4 position.

I am 6’2” and am described as “long.”  I weigh 170.  I am a small forward, shooting guard and a power forward.

I attend Gridley High School in Gridley, CA and I have a total academic GPA of 4.17 and I am ranked #3 in my grade.  I am enrolled in AP English, Advanced Math Honors, Physics, Anatomy and Spanish 2  and I will have met all 15 of my A-G California college courses and 15 of the 16 required NCAA Division 1 courses by the end of this school year and will finish off my 4th year of English next year as a senior to complete my 16 NCAA requirements.  My favorite subjects are Math and Science and my goal is to pursue a major in the medical field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
