Being around basketball a lot growing up, due to my father being a high school coach, has given me a love for the game that I have since grown to appreciate more as my time as a player has gone on. Ever since I started playing basketball in the 1st grade, I knew that this is what I wanted to do for as long as I could. Being as short as I am, it wasn't going to be easy but I was never afraid to try. I was not going to let my height be a disadvantage, but an advantage that helps me grow on the inside. I used being the underdog, the overlooked, and the doubted, as motivation to work harder than my height appeared on paper. I set high goals for myself, I keep pushing until it is met, and when it is, I set another one to reach. I worked hard for my previous aspirations to meet and I am continuing to work hard until my next one is met.
