My name is Lexi Love. I have been playing the game of basketball since the age of six. The passion started in a driveway in St. Louis, Missouri. My dad would have me do suicides and dribble up and down the driveway. This passion escalated as a got older. Along with the growth came some obstacles.
My dad is a Methodist pastor, and because of that, my family can be moved any time. From St. Louis we moved to Illinois, then Atlanta, then Rock Hill, South Carolina, and now Oakland, California. Each move was very difficult. Unfamiliar area and faces. Nevertheless, I believe each move taught me to adjust and overcome obstacles. I realized I'm actually blessed to see and live in different parts of the country. That being said, I embraced all the moving and changing and just went to work. My goal is to play at the collegiate level. I understand that to play at that level, I need to keep my grades up, along with keeping my basketball skills intact. I plan to continue working in the classroom and in the gym.
