I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am currently a senior at El Dorado High School in Placerville, CA. With the completion of this last year of high school, I have played basketball for 12 years. I have been a starting forward for the last 4 years.
The sport of basketball is in my blood and I am self driven to improve my game. I realize that who I am on the court is as important as who I am off the court. Even though I have been given the MVP award several times I know that the real award goes to the team as it takes a team to win a game. One of my favorite things to do is volunteer at the local elementary school with their sports program.
I would like to attend a four year college on a basketball scholarship somewhere on the West Coast. My major preference would be Liberal Studies and get into teaching and coaching. I am open to all options and want to find the right college where I can continue to study hard, maintain my high GPA, and learn as much as I can as an athlete in the game of basketball.
I would be a good candidate for any team as I am good with ball handling, court presence and I am a strong team player. My leadership skills inspire my teammates. The coaches tell me I am extremely coach-able and able to learn and pick up skills quickly. I enjoy being challenged to my limits.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am available in the event you are interested in additional information. Please forward whatever materials I need at this point to further express my interest in your program. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Molly Hargon
