My name is Madison Tremblay and I am currently a senior at Rancho Mirage High School in Rancho Mirage, California. I am a highly motivated individual that works extremely hard on and off the court where I have maintained over a 4.0 GPA since the sixth grade. Living all over the country as an active-duty military child has only fueled my dreams to compete with the best, and be the best. I am especially thankful for the praise and encouragement from all my teachers and coaches who continually acknowledge my strong leadership qualities and my desire to make those around me better. My parents have taught me from a very young age to be appreciative of our many blessings and to help share our time, love, and commitment with others less fortunate. I am looking forward to attending a university that will help me continue along this life path.
I absolutely love the game of basketball and look forward to the opportunity to play at the highest level in college. Although I have only been playing competitively for three years, I have played year-round on several competitive travel teams during that time. I sincerely love the comradery of girls basketball and I continually bring a positive attitude and infectious smile to all those around me. I believe that hard work and dedication can take you anywhere. I have always believed that I am capable of doing more. That is why I decided to play both varsity water polo and varsity basketball during the same season last year – all while maintaining a 4.2 GPA.
In addition to my efforts on the basketball court, I also work hard in the classroom. Although I intend to play basketball for as long as possible, I realize that education will ultimately allow me to accomplish my future goals in life. I want to do something in my career that is challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people's lives daily. Right now, I am interested in the nursing profession. As a nurse, I would be involved with many aspects of patient care, and I enjoy the variety in the routine. My grandmother is a nurse and seeing the satisfaction she feels every day by helping people in her job inspired my own interest in the field. I knew from the time that I was very young that nursing was something I wanted to do with my life.
It would be an honor to represent the school of my choice both on and off the floor. My drive to compete, love for the game, and overall coachability, separates me from others. To play and study at the college level would be a dream come true for me. Thank you for your time and consideration!
