Hailey Dugan '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hailey Dugan.  I have played competitive basketball since I was 12 years old and been wanting to attend college for as long as I could remember.  I want to play college basketball at the highest level possible and receive an education that can provide me with the best opportunities to build a successful future.

Some of my strengths consists of my physicality and being able to be a shutdown defender while having the ability to play anywhere that I am needed on the court.  From my work ethic, and willingness to be aggressive I believe I have what it takes to play at the next level.

My freshmen year on varsity (2015-2016) I maintained a 4.20 GPA while taking several honors classes.  On the basketball court I was used as a lock down defender on the opposing team's best offensive player.  My sophomore year on varsity (2016-2017) I took on the role as point guard. I learned how to lead my team on both sides of the court. I also received defensive player of the year. My junior year on varsity (2017-2018) I learned how to play a post position. With now being able to play in multiple positions, I predominately played as my teams point guard or power forward. I was honored by the Mojave River League by being selected first team all league and leading my team into the second round of CIF playoffs. Along with being awarded first team all league I was voted by my teammates for the second consecutive year for being my teams most valuable defensive player.
