Kylee Daniels '15 Recruiting Profile

On May 13th 2007 was a day that changed my life forever. It was a day that all my educational goals in life became more than just promises to my mother. The moment I had dreaded for so long had come, my mother had lost her 10 year battle with brain cancer. My mother's battle with cancer taught me to never give up. To reach for the stars and anything in life is attainable with hard work. My mother became one of the youngest principals in the San Juan Unified School District. She obtained a Masters, Administrative Credential, and was a year shy of a Doctorate in Child Phycology. She did all of this before passing away at the age of 42 years young. Playing basketball at a college level will help me to continue my educational goals that were once just a promise to my mother. I play basketball to celebrate my mother's life in the only way I know how, with hard work and dedication both in the classroom and on the court. Becoming a collegiate student athlete will help me to finish and fulfill a promise to an amazing woman.
