Madison Lombard '15 Recruiting Profile

My Name Is Madison Lombard.

I will graduate from Torrey Pines High School located in San Diego California in 2015.

I have been playing Basketball since I was in Kindergarten and have always had a passion for the sport.

I have been the starting point guard on the Torrey Pines High School Women's Basketball Varsity squad since my Freshman year and have been  one of the top scorers since then. The 2013-2014 season, I was the assist leader in the San Diego Section Div 1 and was named to 2nd team all Palomar league. My Sophomore year, 2012-2013, I was the top scorer on my team. I was also among the top 3-point field goal scorers in San Diego Section and was selected by a board of coaches to be on the 2nd Team - All League. In December 2013 I was named to the 67th Annual Kiwanis Holiday Basketball Tournament - Girls All-Tournament Team.

I enjoy a fast paced defensive game where I can use my quickness and speed to steal and fast-break.  I look forward to contributing this aspect of my game to a future collegiate level team.

In my free time I enjoy coaching some of the younger teams at San Diego Sol, my club team, with one of my previous coaches. I feel that coaching helps me with my leadership skills for how I am expected to lead on my High School and Club teams and teaches me strategy of the game. I enjoy helping younger kids learn and find their passion in the game.

I participate in many events with my Church youth group. I have also started an internship at a local law office, as I am interested in pursuing a career in the legal field.

My other interests are linguistics and photography. I love learning languages and hope to know many of them someday. With my photographs, I love to capture unusual and abstract images.
