Winning the league championship and making it to state as a freshman was a major highlight, and then winning a Division 1 playoff game as a sophomore was another highlight. However, I feel I grew a tremendous amount playing for my travel team in tournaments around the nation because the pressure was high and the competition was at the highest level. As a result, I needed to hone my skills and focus my concentration even more. Playing for multiple teams in a variety of tournaments helped me learn about myself and how to be a leader and a point guard capable of playing at the college level. I have been fortunate to play for several great coaches in strong programs. Along with improving my on-the-court basketball skills, I also learned the values of perseverance, sacrifice, and team work. In addition, because I am coachable, I learned how to adjust to the different styles of play between my high school and travel teams. I am pursuing a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I am confident I not only have the talent to compete but with my motivation, diligence, and drive to excel, I will make an impact on your program.
