My name is Xaria Daniels. I am now a junior at Heritage High School in Romoland, CA. For those of you that don't know how to pronounce my name, you pronounce it Zah-ree-uh or just replace the X with a Z. My goals for the future are to of course attend a four year university/college to study business or athletic training. I have been playing basketball for three years. Even though I've only been playing for a short time, I have worked very hard for everything that I have accomplished. I played travel ball for 2 1/2 years at SoPac Basketball Club. I was noticed by my high school coach Jay Gomez. I attended all of his Summer practices and played with the team during their Summer League. When school started, I made the varsity team as a freshman starting at point guard(PG).It wasn't easy, but I pushed myself to my limits to make sure that I didn't let down my teammates, my coaches, my parents, and even myself. My journey hasn't been the easiest, but I have been sure to go to God and seek help. I have always been a school type person and have always done well in the classroom. My defense is the main point of my game. I can handle the ball and put my teammates in the position to score. At this point I am working on becoming more efficient with my jumper. I bring energy, leadership, and work ethic to any team, game, scrimmage, or practice that I participate in. I am a very dedicated Christian and without God, I wouldn't be here today.
