2021 Highlights Personal Statement
My name is Jocelynn Melendez, I attend Tulare Union High School. Elementary 4th grade year is when I started playing basketball and fell in love with the sport, I was fortunate to learn strong basics from my elementary coach. I practice every day, my motivation comes from wanting to strengthen my weaknesses. My parents are my key supporters. They install discipline and confidence in me. I plan to play for a university and advance my career in basketball as well as kinesiology. I am currently on varsity basketball. I played varsity my freshmen year and Jr. High played varsity both years, I was awarded M.V.P my 8th grade year. I continue to play travel ball since my 7th grade year as well. My background in sports are basketball, soccer, martial arts, and boxing.
