Personal Statement

I have been playing basketball since the third grade and it has been my dream to play college basketball since I was little. I have always watched the the games and wondered if that could be me some day.  People say I am very coach able and a hard worker.  I work hard for my dad because I know he would be so proud of me. My dad passed away when I was nine on Thanksgiving and every time I do something I think of him and how proud of me he would have been. When I play, I not only play for myself and my dad, I play for others. I like to see everybody score and having fun while we are playing.  For example, In one game I had 17 assist because everybody scored that game and when we got in the locker room everybody was happy. I see point guards that are ball hogs and all about scoring, but that's not me. I am a facilitator and I like see everybody get their moment when they shine.  I feel like it's not all about how good you are its about your academics as well. I push myself do hard to my best in the class room that some days I'm running of two hours of sleep. I push myself to get good grades and do a little extra in the class room. I am a perfectionist when I do something it always has to be perfect. Not only in the class room, but in sports as well. Even if we won I still reflect on the game and see what I could have done better or how I can improve. I would like to go to a college that has Law Enforcement program because I want to be a criminal prosecutor . I always loved to debate about different topics and I feel like prosecutors don't do a good job about giving people justices and I would like to change that. I am looking forward to communicating with many of you coaches and I hope I can be apart of your program thank you.
