I am very interested in helping people, especially people that need nursing care in hospitals. Sometimes I feel this is a clique - like every girl wants to be a nurse. In my heart, I have truly felt this for quite sometime and I want to be able to help sick people and make them better. I had a sister who was severely handicapped and helped take care of her. Unfortunately, she passed at age 17 from pneumonia about 8 years ago. I have witnessed several people who have been hurt and have seen what wonderful people nurses are and want to be just like them. I have helped with people in need due to disasters. For example: Waldo Canyon & Black Forest fires in Colorado - People needing food, clothing and shelter. Also helping with Christmas present giveaways and helping little kids make presents for their siblings and parents. It is such a wonderful feeling to help others out when everything they have is gone and seeing that that is not what is so important to them! Their family is! I know I am truly blessed and brought up with Christian values and want others to know there is a lot to live for and be thankful for. Being a nurse is definitely my field of interest. I really want to be able to help them get well or at least make a small contribution to help make there lives a little better. Being able to play basketball for your school would be an honor. I am a team player, a hard worker, I do not complain, I listen and do not talk back to coaches and I strive to be a better player every game I play and feel my positive attitude reflects on others.
