Playing D1 basketball 13 hours away from home for two years will make grow up fast. Especially when it’s during COVID and you’re worried about your family and having to take all of your classes online.
I have matured a lot since high school and could play a valuable role on any team looking for a player who puts the team before themself, is willing to make the extra pass for a great shot instead of a good one, someone who builds up their teammates with encouragement and is someone who others gravitate towards.
I have strong ball handling skills, strong physical defense, mental toughness, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader who leads by example. I am very coachable and assists my coaches with leading practices and helping other teammates succeed. I strive to be the hardest working player and the hardest working recruit you will ever find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at local youth basketball camps. I lived in Japan for three years and have been exposed to a wide range of culture which has put me through challenging situations which I needed to overcome. I was consistently forced outside of my comfort zone. I have developed new attitudes and perspectives that are uniquely my own, not inherited by being born in a certain country. This has helped me cultivate a true global perspective which has helped me in the college environment.
I am excited to resume my basketball career and play closer to home where I can enjoy this beautiful game that I love. Any coach that I have ever played for will tell you that I am an unselfish player who only cares about winning, not stats. Give me an opportunity and you will not regret it.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers, in my community and make my parents proud. My NCAA Eligibility Center Id is 1602424255. I have 3 years of eligibility remaining. Hope to hear from you soon!
