Personal Statement
I walked into high school not knowing I was going to become an athlete. I've always had a soft spot for sports, but never realized how strong my desire to play basketball for as long as I could was until I picked up a basketball my freshman year. My team wasn't the best, but the fact that they'd give their all after each loss made me realize that I didn't have to win every game. That's why whichever college I go to, I hope to use my positive attitude to keep the spirits of my team high and to keep them determined as we move forward. I wish to go to a school where the goal isn't necessarily to win, but to compete at the highest level that I can.
